Thesis Statement- The age to get a drivers license and drive a car should stay at 16.
Paragraph #1- 16 is an age when teens are becoming more mature and they are given more responsibility. They are more mature and responsible because they are given things like jobs, phones, and money. In fact, any parents expect their kids to have jobs by the age of 16, which gives them more responsibility because they have to do more work. When teens are given jobs, they must learn how to handle money, which will make them become more responsible because getting a job and earning money is almost a part of life.
Paragraph # 2- Once someone gets to the age of about 16, he or she almost needs to be able to drive because their parents can't always take them. Things like going to school, dates, competitions, games, or even just going to a friends house. For instance, say a girl has a dance competition to go to, but its supposed to last all day. Sometimes, if a kid has a game, their parents will just stay and watch, but in this case, they can't stay the whole time. So, instead of having her the parent drop her off early in the morning and pick her up late at night, she could just drive herself. The parents wouldn't have to worry about getting up in the morning or staying up at night to pick up their high school kid from the competition. At 16, many of these types of events are held, and it would be helpful for the parents if they could just drive themselves to the event.
Paragraph #3- Employers need more people to fill their job slots, and while having a job, at would be extremely helpful to be able to drive. 16 is usually the age that teens start to get jobs, so, it would be nice if the driving age was around the same year of age. If the employers need teens to fill their job slots, but the teens couldn't drive, the job slots wouldn't be filled very easily because the teens know it would be hard to have a job and have their parents drive them everyday. What if their parents couldn't take them one day? That's why, considering the age to get a job, 16, the driving age should be the same age.
